Welcome to MakerHub — a platform connecting clients ("Users") and verified service providers ("Makers") for the creation of custom-manufactured items.
By using MakerHub, you agree to the following terms.

Platform Role
MakerHub acts as an online intermediary. We facilitate communication, quoting, payments, and logistics between users and makers but do not manufacture or sell products directly.
Registration
Users must create an account to post or respond to Requests. Makers must complete verification before quoting or accepting Jobs. All information provided must be accurate and up to date.
Quotes and Jobs
When a quote is accepted and payment is made, a Job contract is formed between the User and Maker. MakerHub provides the workspace and escrow functionality but is not a direct party to that contract.
Payments
Payments are processed securely via PayFast or electronic funds transfer (EFT). Funds are held in escrow until job completion and client approval. Platform fees are automatically deducted before maker payout.
Shipping
MakerHub arranges shipping via Courier Guy or equivalent couriers once the maker marks the job as ready for pickup. Shipping fees are charged to the client unless otherwise agreed.
Disputes
In case of disputes, MakerHub may review the Job details and communication to determine an equitable resolution, which may include refunds, partial refunds, or rework. MakerHub's decision will be final.
Reviews
Both Users and Makers may review each other after job completion. Reviews are blind until both are submitted or the review period expires.
Liability
MakerHub is not responsible for defects, delays, or losses arising from work done by independent Makers. Our liability is limited to the total platform fee paid for the affected job.
Intellectual Property
All design files, 3D models, and related intellectual property remain the property of their original creator unless otherwise agreed in writing between the User and Maker.
Changes to Terms
MakerHub may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updates.
